The city of Milford says that a local movie theater was temporarily placed on lockdown Saturday evening after a man was seen walking around in the parking lot with a BB gun.The incident started at approximately 5:25 p.m., when police reported receiving multiple calls about the man, who was seen walking near Rivers Edge Drive in Milford.According to police, the nearby Cinemark was put on lockdown out of precaution as police proceeded to make contact with the man.As they did so, officers say that the man was fully cooperative with police, and that he was permitted to leave the area without incident.WLWT cameras caught the moment when the man was temporarily detained by police as he was questioned. After being released, the man went to speak with WLWT, who said that he was carrying the BB gun for “hunting.” He also said that he was in the area as an independent journalist seeking to collect information related to the Bible.The Indian Hill and Mariemont police departments responded to the scene in conjunction with Milford police.Milford police say that they are working with Clermont County prosecutors to determine if the man broke any laws during the incident that may warrant charges.
