And while she knows there’s no beating the nepo baby chatter, Kit is grateful for the financial success that content creation has afforded her.

“I think it’s OK to say I’m very proud to have done that all by myself,” Kit said. “I’ll be honest and say I wanted to share this, partially because of my own ego, but I also want to open this conversation because this is genuinely my dream job and being a content creator has created opportunities far beyond my wildest dreams.”

But this wouldn’t be the first time that Cynthia’s oldest daughter has opened up about her privilege. Indeed, Kit is no stranger sharing how her glamorous upbringing has contributed to her online success.

I have friends whose moms aren’t fashion designers who do exactly what I do, but I think growing up in the way that I have has allowed me to thrive on social media,” she told E! News in a joint interview with Cynthia, 67, in May 2023. “I think people were interested in the fact that my mom is a fashion designer, that I grew up in New York City.”

And even if she’s not going down her mother’s direct path of fashion design, Kit acknowledged that her well-known mama’s star-power has opened doors for her.

The socialite continued, “Even if it’s not directly that I’m a fashion designer or that I work at my mom’s company, I’m still a nepo baby because I don’t know if I would be where I am as an influencer without her.”

Her mother, however, had no doubt that her daughter would find success regardless of her leg-up in the industry.

“I think you would,” Cynthia interjected. “That’s brave of you to say, though.”
