Several MBTA Commuter Rail trains canceled due to signal, catenary wire issues

Several MBTA Commuter Rail trains were canceled Monday morning due to a range of issues, the agency announced in social media posts. Two Worcester Line trains — Train 505, scheduled to leave South Station, and Train 518, scheduled to leave Worcester — were canceled due to a catenary wire issue. A Needham Line train, Train 608, was scheduled to leave Needham Heights but was canceled because of a downed catenary wire. Catenary wires coming in and out of South Station are owned and maintained by Amtrak.Two Haverhill Line trains were also canceled due to a signal issue. Several MBTA Commuter Rail trains were canceled Monday morning due to a range of issues, the agency announced in social media posts.
