The Los Angeles Daily News boys basketball Top 15 rankings as of December 29, 2025:

1. Sierra Canyon (10-1): The Trailblazers dominated their first two games of the Les Schwab Invitational in Portland, Ore. Don’t be surprised if they win the whole tournament.

2. Notre Dame (10-4): Josiah Nance has returned from injury and it makes the Knights that much scarier with NaVorro Bowman Jr. and Zach White.

3. Harvard-Westlake (15-2): Joe Sterling can’t miss. He had 31 points with seven 3-pointers last week in a victory in the Rancho Mirage tournament.

4. Crespi (11-4): The Celts are making big strides in the Platinum Division of The Classic at Damien. Crespi is in the semifinals Monday night against Sunnyslope (Arizona), which beat St. John Bosco.

5. Thousand Oaks (13-0): The Lancers are the equivalent of the college basketball team that has knocked off high-major programs by playing together and is highlighted by players who champion their role. Coach Logan Baltau has things rolling in TO.

6. Village Christian (11-5): The Crusaders are finishing things in The Classic at Damien and then start Olympic League play with a game against rival Heritage Christian on Jan. 6.

7. St. Francis (12-2): Sophomore point guard Luke Paulus is the most valuable player coach Todd Wolfson has in his program, despite 7-foot-3 Cherif Millogo dominating games.

8. Chaminade (15-1): The Eagles have been playing well in Hawaii. Their only loss was to Thousand Oaks.

9. Knight (13-3): The Hawks have seen the brunt of their schedule. They will now look to dominate the Golden League. But Eastside and Quartz Hill look pretty good, too.

10. Heritage Christian (8-2): The Warriors are competing in the Battle for Nashville in Tennessee.

11. Golden Valley (9-5): Donovan Webb has been stellar for the Grizzlies, who are 3-0 in Foothill League play.

12. Legacy Christian (10-7): The Lions continue to challenge themselves and are making noise this week in The Classic at Damien’s Diamond Division.

13. Oaks Christian (14-2): The Lions are eyeing a Marmonte League title run in January, but unbeaten Thousand Oaks is in their way.

14. Westlake (11-5): The Warriors have won four straight and are in the mix for St. Francis’ holiday tournament after beating Saugus and Milken.

15. Moorpark (14-5): Logan Stotts is emerging as one of the top scorers in the area. He’s pouring in 24.1 points per game.
