Shark warning signs have been posted this evening at Waimea Bay after a six-foot shark was seen along the shoreline, according to Honolulu Ocean Safety officials.
The HNL Alert was sent at about 5:20 p.m. today after the shark was confirmed by lifeguards or another reliable source, officials said.
“If you see or encounter a shark notify Ocean Safety personnel or call 911 immediately,” said the alert. “Always check with a lifeguard for the latest ocean and beach conditions.”
