The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a brutal game to the Cleveland Browns. A victory would’ve meant the Steelers clinching the division and getting to rest key players before the playoffs. Unfortunately, the offense failed to reach the endzone a single time, and the Steelers lost the game 13-6 to a Browns team that entered the weekend with three wins on the season.
A lot of Pittsburgh’s offensive struggles in the game can be attributed to the absence of star wide receiver DK Metcalf, who was suspended for two games due to his involvement in an altercation with a fan against the Detroit Lions.
There have been differing accounts of exactly what upset Metcalf and caused the confrontation, but in a development that will shine favorably on Metcalf, it has now been corroborated that he had previously had an issue with the same fan.
“I actually have the security communication between the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks security from a game last year when DK Metcalf, when he was with the Seahawks, complained about that exact same fan to security,” said Jay Glazer of the situation.
“He asked that that fan be removed over derogatory comments. I’m not gonna repeat what the comments are that are on here. Obviously we don’t condone ever hitting a fan, or anybody else, but in this it says, when we investigated during the game, the individuals around him states and corroborated that the fan was being out of line and had indeed said these derogatory statements. They even asked us to remove the guy.”

While Metcalf’s suspension appeal was denied, this news will certainly be good for Metcalf’s public image and maybe even help in any potential litigation if things reach that point.
