California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) torched President Donald Trump and one of his most staunch loyalists, Kid Rock, after the musician shared a photo of himself during an outing with the world leader.

Newsom’s dig came after the rockstar, 54, posted a black-and-white photo of himself smiling and sitting beside Trump, 79, in a golf cart on X on Monday.

Kid Rock, born Robert James Ritchie, captioned the post, “Golfed with your favorite President again recently and he played me a live version of James Brown and Pavirotti performing ‘This is a Mans World.’”

He added, “Can’t believe I have never heard this. Incredible!”

The Daily Beast reported that the rocker initially misspelled both the title of the song and the tenor’s surname in his post.

In response to Kid Rock’s post, Newsom’s Press Office account reposted the songwriter’s picture on Monday with the caption, “Cute couple.”

HuffPost has reached out to Newsom’s office and the White House for comment.

Newsom has repeatedly trolled Trump and his MAGA supporters amid their ongoing feud, with both politicians taking public jabs at each other.

Meanwhile, Kid Rock has remained one of Trump’s most fervent supporters, even performing at the president’s rallies and defending Trump’s controversial policies, despite ongoing division within the MAGA base.

Earlier this month, Newsom mocked Trump over his false claims that he would’ve won California in the 2024 presidential election if he hadn’t been cheated by the Democratic Party. Trump made the comment at a White House Christmas reception.

In an X post alongside a clip of the president’s comments, the California governor laughed off Trump’s incorrect remarks, simply writing, “Hahahahahahahahaha ok.”
