A bald eagle was rescued from a pig pen in Gila, New Mexico.According to the Gila Wildlife Rescue, they were contacted by a New Mexico Game and Fish officer after a person in Gila rescued a bald eagle from a pig pen. The person told the wildlife rescue that they heard a commotion in the pig pen, saw adult pigs attacking the bird. That person went and got the bird out. The person told the rescue that the bird walked off and stayed perched on a log for a day. That’s when the person notified Game and Fish officers who then notified the rescue. The wildlife rescue took the bird and found no apparent injuries. The bird has been under observation and will be seen by a veterinarian.
