UNDERWOOD, N.D. (KFYR) – The City of Underwood is advising residents not to use the water.
The city says a water main break on County Rd 14 drained the water tower. The loss of water pressure can cause backflow, resulting in contamination.
The city is advising residents not to use the water until it is tested and is safe.
What should residents do?
Residents should use bottled water for drinking, bathing, washing hands, washing dishes, and doing laundry. The city says boiling water is not sufficient for removing all contaminants.
The water may be used for flushing toilets.
