Oregon’s defense gets some redemption after the lackluster second half against JMU, or at the very least makes a statement about what it can do at full strength. There could be some questions about the Ducks’ offense after this one, particularly the run game, along with a handful of questionable decisions and self-inflicted mistakes that left some points out there.
But Texas Tech’s defense lived up to its reputation. If Oregon can play like this defensively and smooth out the wrinkles on offense, this group has a chance to do what last year’s team could not: win the national championship.
