The college football transfer portal is now officially open.
For the next two weeks, there will be unprecedented movement as there is just one transfer portal window ahead of next season. Many quarterbacks across the country have already expressed their intentions to enter the transfer portal or announced they will be looking for a new school. That includes DJ Lagway (Florida), Sam Leavitt (Arizona State), Dylan Raiola (Nebraska) and Drew Mestemaker (North Texas, all of whom will surely be getting a big payday from their new school.

We’ll be keeping track of all the notable names who are changing schools in the space below as college football prepares for its biggest transfer frenzy yet. The transfer portal will close on Jan. 16.

Reports emerged during the Sugar Bowl that star Minnesota safety Koi Perich will enter the transfer portal. Perich is reportedly keeping his option to stay at Minnesota open — he’s a native of the state — but could end up somewhere else.
The sophomore has 82 tackles and a pick-6 this season. He had five interceptions as a freshman in 2024.
