Arsenal

Arsenal GW20 Predicted formation:

Arsenal GW20 Predicted lineup:

Raya

Timber – Saliba – Gabriel – Hincapie

Zubimendi – Odegaard – Eze

Saka – Gyokeres – Trossard

Notes/Injury Updates:

Declan Rice was unavailable in GW19 due to a knee injury. He is doubtful for Arsenal’s GW20 fixture against Bournemouth, with the swelling on his knee NOT reduced yet.

Arteta on Rice: “Not yet, and we have another session today, so let’s see how he comes in today and how that’s feeling, but [he Villa] game was too early for him.”

Rice update from Friday night: Declan Rice has travelled with the Arsenal squad for the game tomorrow. The England International pushed all day to play against Villa earlier this week but fell just short. Decision to be made tomorrow. via @HandsofArsenal

Arteta on whether any fresh injuries emerged after Tuesday’s 4-1 win over Aston Villa: “No, we haven’t trained yet, so today’s going to be the first training session with the players who started against Villa. We will know more this afternoon. “

Ben White returned to the squad for Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Aston Villa on New Year’s Eve.

Gabriel made his first start after a spell on the sidelines against Villa. He was withdrawn in the second half after going down on the pitch, and he seemed unable to continue. However, reports suggest that it was just a cramp and the Brazilian was taken off as a precautionary measure (via ESPN Brazil correspondent Joao Castelo-Branco), so he should be available for this gameweek.

Calafiori is out, Arteta confirmed, with the left-back unavailable for Arsenal’s last 2 fixtures with an unspecified injury.

Havertz was included in the squad against Villa as well, but he was an unused substitute.

Timber is now fit and available, having started the Villa fixture.

Mosquera is out.

Aston Villa Notes/Injury Updates:

Pau Torres, Mings, and Barkley are out.

Cash and Kamara have returned from suspension and should start.

Onana received medical attention in the first half against Arsenal but continued on until the break, when he was subbed off. He is ruled out.

Unai Emery says Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings are due back within the next fortnight, but Amadou Onana faces a longer spell on the sidelines.

Emery on team news in his pre-Forest presser: “Now we have some players injured. They are close to coming back, some of them, but still a lot of players are not available for tomorrow. But we have enough players to compete against Nottingham Forest.”

Bournemouth

Bournemouth GW20 Predicted formation

Bournemouth GW20 Predicted lineup:

Petrovic

Jiminez – Senesi – Hill – Truffert

Scott – Tavernier

Brooks – Kluivert – Semenyo

Evanlison

Bournemouth Team News & Key Notes:

Tyler Adams, Akinmboni, Milosavljevic, Ryan Christie, and Ben Doak are out.

Semenyo is close to finalising a move to Manchester City in January, per multiple reports, causing speculation over his selection in the coming gameweeks. However, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has confirmed that Semenyo will definitely play against Arsenal in GW20.

Lewis Cook missed the Chelsea draw due to a neck issue. He is set for a late assessment ahead of the Arsenal game.

Iraola on Cook: “With Lewis, we are still waiting. It’s his neck and the pain that he feels. He will try to train today, and we will see. Hopefully, he will be available for tomorrow.”

Iraola on Ryan Christie: “With Ryan it is more difficult. Ryan still has some issues with his knee and he is definitely not going to be available.”

Brighton GW20 Predicted lineup:

Verbruggen

Veltman – Van Hecke – Dunk – Kadioglu

Hinshelwood – Ayari

Gomez – Rutter – Mitoma

Welbeck

Brighton Team News and Key Notes:

Minteh was forced off in the second half against West Ham in GW19, but the attacker should be an option against Burnley because it was merely a dead leg.

Hurzeler on Minteh in his pre-match press conference: “Yankuba’s scan was fine. It was just a dead leg. Let’s see how training goes today [Friday], then we see if he can start or not.”

Wieffer missed the West Ham draw with a toe injury and he’s out for GW20 as well.

Hurzeler on Wieffer: “Mats Wieffer has a small issue with with his toe, so he won’t be available tomorrow but I hope it’s not a big issue.”

Welbeck started the West Ham game and should be fit and available.

Hurzeler on Welbeck and Milner: “I don’t think anything has changed [since the West Ham game]. James Milner and Danny Welbeck both looked fine after the game, so I think we will have the same availability again.”

Hurzeler on Mitoma: “Kaoru Mitoma can be an option from the start – he played well. He had an impact when he came on the pitch. We know he’s a quality player for us, so therefore we are happy that he’s back.”

Baleba is unavailable due to AFCON.

Adam Webster, Tzimas, and Solly March are out.

Dubravka

Laurent – Ekdal – Humphreys

Walker – Florentino Luis – Ugochukwu – Lucas Pires

Bruun Larsen – Broja – Edwards

Burnley Team News and Key Notes:

Maxime Esteve returned to the starting lineup against Newcastle on NYE after a spell on the sidelines. However, his return was short-lived as he was taken off just 15 minutes into the fixture after going down with an injury.

Parker on Esteve: “Max [Estève] won’t make the weekend. He’s done some work on the grass today but obviously with the dynamics of how things went the last game really, it’s probably too much to risk with such a short turnaround. We can’t afford the same situation in game to have to make changes that early. We’re siding on the air of caution. Pick him up, get some good work into him and hopefully he’ll be fit for Wednesday. We’re hoping for a speedy recovery.”

Parker on Joe Worall: “Joe Worrall’s moving in the right direction, the next two games may come a little bit quick for him.”

Paker on Flemming: “Again, Zian is similar to Joe. Maybe there’s an option there a little bit quicker.”

Parker on squad injuries: “We are where we are in terms of the injuries, we’re extremely stretched, we’ve hit a bit of a bad run with injuries, but nothing new. It seems a lot is not going our way in terms of that, so the squad is stretched.”

Cullen is out for a substantial period after sustaining an ACL injury against Everton last weekend (via The Independent).

Foster and Tuanzebe are away at AFCON.

Jordan Beyer, Mejbri, and Zeki Amdouni are out.

Brentford GW20 Predicted lineup:

Kelleher

Kayode – Collins – Ajer – Rico Henry

Yarmolyuk – Henderson –Janelt

Lewis-Potter – Thiago – Schade

Brentford team news:

Andrews on team news: “As usual with a game of that type [against Tottenham], there are a few little knocks as you’d expect. I’ll assess with the staff in the next hour or so. Touch wood, everyone seems okay.”

Mathias Jensen did not make the starting lineup against Spurs as he was ill, Andrews revealed.

Andrews on Jensen: “Mathi [Jensen] wasn’t right to start; he had a bit of a bug. Jordan [Henderson] came into the team, which was the only change from the Bournemouth game when we played really, really well.”

Andrews on Reiss Nelson: “Reiss [Nelson] has been training really well and he’s a natural wide player, so I felt he was the right player to come on during the game.

Van den Berg was an unused substitute against Spurs after his knock against Bournemouth the previous gameweek. We’re expecting him to make an appearance from the bench.

Josh Dasilva, Fábio Carvalho, and Antoni Milambo are long-term absentees.

Hato is doubtful.

Cucurella missed the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth with a hamstring injury. He has returned to training though and could be an option against City as his fitness will be assessed.

McFarlane on Cucurella: “With Marc it is positive [that he’s back training] and we will see with him. We’re undecided on that [whether he will play], I don’t have the full information on him as of yet. Otherwise we don’t have any other updates on players at the moment.”

New signing Brennan Johnson should be on the bench this weekend.

Oliver Glasner on Brennan Johnson signing: “I’m really delighted that Brennan has joined the club. He arrives very early in the window, so credit to the club for making this happen so quickly.”

Glasner: “After Macclesfield (FA Cup) on the 10th of January, we have four regular weeks of training. We will give the players a little time off, but then I expect Chris Richards, Daniel Muñoz, and Ismaila Sarr back, and maybe we have one or two additions.”

Glasner on team news: “Of course, if Will [Hughes] is not available, we have 13, and three days after Newcastle, we play Villa at home. Both teams are on a great run, even though Villa lost at the Emirates. “It looks like [Eddie Nketiah] is also not available. It looks like nobody will come back for this game.”

Grealish has returned to full training after missing out entirely against Burnley in GW18 due to a bit of a virus and being used as a 72nd-minute substitute against Nottingham Forest midweek.

Moyes on Grealish: “[Grealish] is much better, he looks much better, much fresher in the face and sharper. He had a really bad illness, and it affected him with sickness and all of the other stuff that comes with it. He’s looking a bit better now and is certainly back in training.”

Dewsbury-Hall, Branthwaite, and Coleman are out.

Ndiaye and Gueye are at AFCON.

Man City Notes/Injury Update:

Doku and Rodri returned to action against Sunderland last gameweek.

Savinho was forced off in the second half against Le Bris’s men.
