While there was a temporary break in record-breaking warm temperatures, a strengthening upper-level ridge will once more allow warming temperatures to approach record levels.
The record potential will generally move from west to east across the country, along with the upper-level ridge.

Records across the Interior Northwest were set on Saturday. Some locations saw their records fall quite easily, such as Dillon, MT, which broke it’s old record from 1963 by 4°.

Temperatures in Texas were downright hot on Saturday. Down in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, temperatures soared into the 90s! Plenty more records are expected to fall across the Lone Star State in the coming days.
