A renowned Korean boy band recently shared plans to release their first full album in several years.
BTS, also known as Bangtan Sonyeondan (Korean for “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”), announced Sunday that their new album will arrive March 20.
The new currently untitled project will be the group’s first album since “Be” (2020) and will feature 14 songs.
“The album is packed with honest stories that BTS wants to share,” the press release read. “Filled with the music that’s most true to BTS, the album is their heartfelt way of saying thank you to ARMY, who have been there this whole time.”
ARMY, which stands for “Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth,” is what BTS calls its fans.
The beloved boy band also teased a 2026 world tour, sharing that the tour dates will be revealed Jan. 14.
The BTS hiatus came after all seven BTS members — Jin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, V, Jimin and Jung Kook — left to fulfill South Korea’s mandatory military service requirement. The members enlisted in 2022 and completed their service in 2025.
Some members pursued individual careers during the break, releasing solo albums, appearing in television shows and documentaries.
The beloved music group debuted in 2013 and gained international acclaim in 2017, racking up wins at the Billboard Music Awards and American Music Awards.
BTS landed its first No. 1 single with “Dynamite” in 2020.
