Josh Charles has a bone to pick with Travis KelceAfter the Chiefs star played Charles’ beloved Baltimore Ravens in 2024, the actor couldn’t help but be annoyed with Kelce’s excellent game against his team”He was a real jerk that year,” Charles teased in a guest spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Josh Charles once had a choice word to describe Travis Kelce.

The Good Wife alum’s allegiance to the Baltimore Ravens was seemingly at the root of his displeasure with the Kansas City Chiefs star.

“I’ve always liked Travis Kelce, I thought he was cool, but that year they beat us in the AFC championship game — they beat the Ravens — he was a real jerk that year,” Charles, 54, said in a guest spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, Jan. 5. “So I kind of fell off of him. When I met him, I said, ‘You know I always liked you, and this year you were kind of a D-I-C-K.’ ”

Kelce, however, wasn’t offended, the Best Medicine star shared.

“He laughed, and he said, ‘You know what, you’re right,’ ” Charles recalled.

The two crossed paths when Charles appeared in a winking cameo in Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight” music video, alongside Ethan Hawke.

The Dead Poets Society actors played scientists working in a lab as Swift was hooked up to an upright table reminiscent of a scene from Frankenstein.

Charles later shared a photo from the set on Instagram

“I’ve admired Taylor for a long time, but meeting her in person took my fandom to a whole new level,” he wrote. “Genuine, kind, approachable, and just an all around stellar human being — Not to mention a kick a– director to boot!”

Charles was ultimately just as impressed with Kelce, it turns out.

The NFL star, 36, and the actor later went on to talk football and shared a rapport that negated Charles’ initial assessment of the player — and the off-putting “swagger” he brought to the pivotal 2024 game.

“He’s such a good dude,” Charles told Fallon. “I really like him.”

As for his team losing out on a playoff berth the night before Charles’ appearance on Fallon, though, the Ravens fan was glum.

“It was a tough one last night, I almost canceled on you,” Charles joked to Fallon.
