According to Mills, there was a funeral going on at the church when the incident took place. “Some sort of altercation” in the parking lot led to the shooting.
As emergency responders arrived at the scene, the shooting suspects had fled in a unknown vehicle. At this time police are working to determine the number of suspects.
“The suspect vehicle description is fairly vague at this time, but it was last seen going up, north on Redwood Road,” Mills said.
The search is currently centered around 500 north to 700 North on Redwood Road.
“If anyone saw anything, if anyone has any video, if anyone has any information, we do want to hear from them,” Mills said.
