Taking to Instagram stories, Alia posted this glowing note on Eternal Sunshine Productions’ social media, “It’s the voice of today’s India. It’s the choice of today’s India. It’s based on a chapter in history. And now it’s the number one chapter in India’s cinema history. Cheers to Dhurandhar. And three cheers to the ENTIRE team. You not only created waves. You brought the high tide back to the theatres. If this is what part one did in winter, imagine what part two will bring in spring!!!”.

Blockbuster box office run

‘Dhurandhar’ has collected over Rs 800 crore at the domestic box office and continues to run with limited screenings in theaters nationwide. Its global earnings have surpassed Rs 1000 crore. With its strong critical and commercial performance, anticipation now builds for the second installment.

Gulf countries ban issue

The film faces a ban across Gulf countries. ‘Dhurandhar’ reportedly suffered a Rs 90 crore loss as a result, recently disclosed. The Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) has sent a formal letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to step-in and remove the ban, though no response has come yet.
