ATP Hong Kong Semifinal Predictions
Alexander Bublik vs Marcos Giron
Head-to-head – Bublik 1-3 Giron
This should be an interesting battle. Alexander Bublik is at a career high ranking of #11, and the Kazakh can make the Top 10 if he manages to win the tournament. Interestingly, he faces Marcos Giron who leads the head to head 3-1 against Bublik. It is worth calling out that they last faced each other in 2023.
Bublik had a great 2025 season and he looks to have started in similar fashion in 2026. He has not dropped a set this week and with his aggressive tennis, he seems to be well suited for the courts at Hong Kong. Giron too has impressed this week but from the American will no doubt have to work extra hard on his serve which right now does not guarantee him many free points. Expect Bublik to serve well and mix things up from the baseline which should aid him in winning most of the baseline exchanges.
Prediction: Bublik in 2
Lorenzo Musetti vs Andrey Rublev
Head-to-head – Musetti 0-1 Rublev
This match is an extremely tight one to call. Lorenzo Musetti had a decent 2025, and the top seed this week has found a fantastic rhythm from the baseline. He faces third seed Andrey Rublev, a player who beat him in their only previous meeting back in 2020.
Rublev has looked pretty solid from the baseline and on his serve, but there is still a question mark whether he can sustain high levels of tennis against the top ten players. He has won against top players before but hasn’t done that consistently enough. Musetti on the other hand has risen quite steadily over the past couple of years and in best of three tennis, the Italian seems to be full of confidence. Expect a hard fought win for Musetti.
Prediction: Musetti in 3
