Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo found a heartwarming company Thursday night after the team’s game against the Chicago Bulls was delayed at the United Center. Adebayo’s girlfriend, A’ja Wilson, was courtside, and the Heat centre used the delay to spend some quality moments with the Las Vegas Aces star.

The Heat traveled to Chicago to face the Bulls, but the game was delayed due to unsafe playing conditions. Condensation on the court made the floor too slippery, raising concerns about possible injuries. Officials delayed the tipoff as arena staff worked to improve conditions.
While the delay stretched on, Adebayo appeared unfazed. Instead, he used the extra time to share a light moment courtside with his girlfriend, Las Vegas Aces star Wilson, who was in attendance to support him.
Wilson was seated courtside, and cameras captured the couple smiling and casually talking. The moment quickly circulated on social media after a video was posted by Hoops Central.

Wilson traveled more than 1,500 miles from Las Vegas to Chicago to watch Adebayo play. The WNBA star is currently in the offseason and took advantage of the break in her schedule to support her longtime partner.
The Heat entered the night looking to bounce back after a lopsided 122-94 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday. Thursday’s matchup against the Bulls was set to be the second game of a four-game road trip.
Wilson, meanwhile, is coming off another historic season with the Las Vegas Aces. She led the franchise to its third WNBA championship and continued to build one of the most decorated resumes in league history.
Wilson also won her fourth WNBA Most Valuable Player award, including back-to-back honors in 2024 and 2025.
In addition to her MVP recognition, Wilson was named the 2025 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year. Her dominance on both ends of the floor has placed her among the greatest players in league history.
Wilson has chosen not to participate in the Unrivaled league for the 2026 season. She made the decision to focus on rest and recovery during the offseason, placing priority on both her mental and physical health ahead of the upcoming WNBA season.
Adebayo and Wilson have been together for more than four years. Public speculation about their relationship increased during the 2024 Paris Olympics, where both athletes represented Team USA and won gold medals in their respective tournaments.
Their relationship was officially confirmed later in 2025. Wilson referred to Adebayo as her boyfriend during an emotional speech at the South Carolina Gamecocks Hall of Fame ceremony in October 2025.
While the couple enjoyed their brief moment together, the game itself never resumed. After nearly two hours of delays caused by ongoing condensation issues, the NBA postponed the contest between the Heat and Bulls.
Chicago entered the night with a 17-20 record and riding a three-game losing streak. The postponement forced both teams to adjust their travel and scheduling plans moving forward.
