CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A man was hospitalized Friday afternoon after a shooting at the Big Horn Motel, according to the Cheyenne Police Department. As of 4:09 p.m., crisis negotiators and a SWAT team remain on scene working to contact the suspect.
Officers responded to a motel at 2004 E. Lincolnway following a report of gunfire. At the scene, they found an adult male with injuries. Emergency responders took the man to a local hospital.
Police said a person of interest has been identified in connection with the shooting. Officials requested that the public avoid the area while officers conduct an investigation at the scene.
No further details regarding the victim’s condition or the nature of the injuries were immediately released.
