Manchester United’s FA Cup campaign begins against Brighton on Sunday, but for one loanee, Saturday saw the competition come to an emphatic end.
The FA Cup is known for cup upsets, and the third round of this season’s competition has not disappointed at all.
Wrexham knocked out Nottingham Forest in a big shock result, but nothing will beat sixth-tier Macclesfield knocking out Crystal Palace.
This saw Manchester United-linked Oliver Glasner suffer an embarrassing defeat, casting further doubt around whether he is really good enough to be the club’s next manager.
However, there was no upset on the cards for one United loanee as he conceded six goals against Wolves.

Elyh Harrison started in goal for Shrewsbury during 6-1 thrashing to Wolves
On Saturday, among the early kick-offs was Shrewsbury taking on Wolves, which featured United loanee Elyh Harrison in goal for the visiting League Two side.
Harrison hadn’t played since September, yet was thrust into the starting line-up against Premier League opposition, with the result being a heavy defeat.

Harrison will have come into this game incredibly rusty, making it feel almost unfair considering the quality of opposition.
In the 6-1 defeat, Harrison made four saves, which was fewer than the six goals conceded.
Harrison had one error leading to a goal, but did prevent 0.56 goals, suggesting that despite having a bad day, it could have been even worse.
With 46 touches, Harrison completed just 47 per cent of his passes, 18/38, and just four of 23 long pass attempts.

Harrison’s fate is surely now sealed for Manchester United return
It was reported last week that Harrison had been recalled by United, with no games played since September, meaning he was always going to need a different plan.
However, Shrewsbury hadn’t sent him back and gave Harrison a chance against Wolves, which might have given him a platform to earn a starting role.
But conceding six goals is a pretty damning performance, despite the fact Wolves are three leagues above Shrewsbury, and we would assume another start won’t be coming anytime soon for Harrison.
Harrison should now be on his way back to Carrington, where Ineos can rethink his plan this season, either to find a new loan with guarantees of minutes or have the 19-year-old spend the next few months with the first team training group.
