If you needed to see some good in the world, we got you. The International Animal Rescue posted a video of a bear family who have never seen the outside stepping into the sunlight. It’s somehow emotional and inspiring to see these animals finally get to experience the outdoors along with a healthy meal and some fun toys! The caption and on-screen text explain the story, “After more than a decade trapped in a filthy backyard cage in Yerevan, [Armenia], Aram, Nairi and their cub Lola were finally rescued…”

These innocent bears were kept in a cage and mistreated for a long time, but were saved and put into quarantine to recover from the abuse. It took months for them to get well, and now they finally can experience freedom. The caption goes on to tell us, “Watching them step onto the earth, feel the sun on their fur and take in the world around them after so long behind bars was truly overwhelming. Little Lola, born in captivity, had never known what it meant to walk freely until this moment.”

It seems like viewers are as touched as we were watching this video. “Thank you for rescuing them,” top comment by @Bee praised. Others wished the bears well, including @minniemoo58 with, “Enjoy your new life.” @user1892873427257 echoed that sentiment, “I’m so happy for saved animals making it out alive! Finally, @Agatha summed it all up, “I can’t imagine how amazing it must feel to know that you did that for them, bless you.” It was a heartwarming comment section, to say the least.

About the International Animal Rescue

International Animal Rescue focuses on “ending animal suffering, whilst protecting the environment for people and planet,” according to their website. They have a whole project dedicated to Armenian bears, which focuses on the Syrian brown bear of that region. These majestic animals are frequently caught and held for entertainment in very small cages in places like restaurants, hotels, and factories.

Luckily, this org has been working across the globe for over 30 years to help animals like this bear family.
