Auburn has its running bak duo.

After re-signing Jeremiah Cobb for his senior season, Baylor transfer Bryson Washington has commited to the Tigers, Auburn Undercover has learned. Washington arrives at Auburn with two years of eligibility remaining.

At 6-foot and 216 pounds, Washington provides some force to pair with the speedy Cobb. Playing in three games and redshirting in 2023, Washington had 175 carries for 1,028 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2024. He ran it 154 times for 788 yards and six touchdowns in 2025. Washington provides a receiving threat for the Auburn offense, too, with 41 catches for 311 yards and two touchdowns in his career.

247Sports ranks the Franklin, Texas, native as the No. 82 player and No. 7 running back in the transfer portal with a 92-overall grade.

Auburn has already signed former USF running back Nykahi Davenport to add to the room for next season, joining Cobb and rising second-year players Omar Mabson II and Alvin Henderson.

AUBURN FOOTBALL TRANSFER PORTAL LIVE TRACKER

The NCAA Division I Administrative Council in October enacted new transfer rules that shifted the way that the portal calendar works for FBS and FCS athletes:

– Instead of the transfer portal window opening in early December, as it had in recent years, it will now stretch from Jan. 2 to Jan. 16.

– The NCAA eliminated the spring transfer portal window.‌

– Unlike in previous years when graduate transfers could enter at any time through the spring window, they are required to utilize the same Jan. 2 to 16 window as everyone else.

– Previously, players whose school experienced a coaching change were able to enter the transfer portal immediately over a 30-day period. Now, players must wait five days until a new coach is hired to trigger a 15-day window. That window is triggered only if a coaching change happens after Jan. 2.
