Kristy and Desmond Scott built one of the internet’s most-watched marriages. Now it’s ending.
Kristy Scott filed for divorce from Desmond Scott on December 30, 2025, in Harris County, Texas. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, she cited alleged infidelity that “completely wiped out any reasonable chance of reconciliation.”
The couple, known online as “The Scotts,” amassed over 16 million followers on TikTok, nearly 5 million YouTube subscribers, and millions more on Instagram by sharing family pranks, home renovations, and their day-to-day life with sons Vance and Westin. Desmond, a chef, was widely considered a “green flag husband” by fans.
In August 2024, the couple threw a lavish 10th anniversary party at their Houston home. They spoke to People magazine about the milestone.
“We have been best friends since teenagers and that’s never changed,” they said at the time. “We focus on genuinely having fun, constantly laughing, keeping things light and spontaneous and finding humor in everyday life. 10 years flew by, we’ve literally grown up together and navigated life together.”
On New Year’s Day 2025, Desmond reportedly posted about his goals to be “the best husband and father.”
By the end of that year, Kristy had filed for divorce.
On Saturday, Desmond addressed the split on his Instagram Stories. He apologized to Kristy, his family, and fans, but stopped short of confirming the infidelity allegations directly.
“Toward the end of 2025, I wanted to separate, and I had conversations with Kristy regarding this,” he wrote. “During this period, I made choices that I am not proud of. I took responsibility for those actions, I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce.”
The couple met at 14, married in 2014, and co-own Meant To Be Films, a wedding videography company. Their last joint post came in early December, with Kristy modeling in a Labubu outfit while Desmond appeared in the background. It’s unclear what happens to the business post-split.
Online, the reaction has been swift — and conflicted.
“I’m the last person who gives a f**k about influences but Kristy Scott and Desmond Scott legitimately looked happy,” one user wrote. “I drank the kool aid smfh.”

“Kristy and Desmond Scott divorcing is so unexpected,” another posted. “They just built that big house together.”
Others were more pointed: “All this n—a Desmond Scott had to do was watch his wife flip around in heels and laugh. Thanks to them recording that they got rich and get to live life on easy mode… And he wanna fuck it up and go CHEAT!!!!”

Some questioned whether the divorce was real at all. “Am I the only one who feels like Kristy filing for divorce could be a publicity stunt?” one Threads user asked. “Let’s face it. The content was getting old and that’s their livelihood.”
But another Threads user who claimed to have read the filing disagreed: “Desmond waived service and there seems to be an agreement already in place re: settlement. This tells me it’s very real & only new to us.”
