INVESTIGATION. BUT FIRST, WE START WITH LATE BREAKING NEWS OUT OF LOUISVILLE SHAWNEE NEIGHBORHOOD, WHERE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A SHOOTING. OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE AREA OF 41ST STREET AND HERMON FOR SHOTSPOTTER RUN. WHEN OFFICERS ARRIVED, THEY FOUND A MAN WHO HAD BEEN SHOT AT 41ST AND LARK WOOD. OUR CREW AT THE SCENE NOTICED MORE THAN A DOZEN SHELL CASINGS. POLICE SAY THE VICTIM WAS SHOT IN THE HAND. HE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL. IS EXPECTED TO SURVIVE. Police responded to a shooting in the Shawnee neighborhood on Monday.Louisville Metro police were called around 10:20 a.m. to the area of 41st and Herman streets.WLKY is at the scene and observed more than a dozen bullet casings in the road.Police said the victim, a man, had a gunshot wound to the hand, and his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.There are no known suspects, but anyone with information regarding this case can call the anonymous tip line at (502) 574-LMPD (5673) or use the LMPD Crime Tip Portal.
