Fox Sports is in charge of the broadcast for Sunday’s wild card matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Erin Andrews, along with the rest of the crew, made the trip to Lincoln Financial Field for the big game. Before kickoff, the renowned sportscaster had the chance to sit down with Niners star Christian McCaffrey.
Andrews took to social media ahead of the game to share a clip of her interview with the four-time All-Pro running back. The video immediately drew significant attention on Instagram as fans reacted to Andrews’ latest sit-down with a big-name NFL star.

Andrews always delivers the hard-hitting questions, and her interview with McCaffrey was no different. At one point, the veteran broadcaster asked McCaffrey if anything about this 49ers group surprised him amid their success this season.
McCaffrey expressed how highly he thinks of his teammates.
“You definitely, you don’t know it until it happens,” McCaffrey said. “I think you learn and grow with the team as the season goes on and as games go on, you win and lose and you kind of find out the character of your team each week.

“I think our team character is representative of each individual’s character. We have so many guys that individually were counted out in their lives and were kind of underdogs. And I think when you all kind of collectively come together, it makes for a special group.”
While McCaffrey drew the attention of fans on social media, Andrews also turned heads with another on-point interview.

Andrews is also providing sideline reports for Sunday’s big game. She is part of Fox Sports’ A-team alongside sideline reporter Tom Rinaldi, play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt and analyst Tom Brady.
UPDATE: The 49ers defeated the Eagles, 23-19. They will face the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round on Saturday.
