Coronation Street spoilers follow from Monday’s episode (12 January), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Coronation Street’s newest villain Megan Walsh is left fearful tonight as she receives a mysterious call that shocks her. Someone from Megan’s past is determined to speak to her, but who?
Sports coach Megan is currently at the centre of a dark issue-based storyline, as she has been grooming Weatherfield teen Will Driscoll behind closed doors. Their inappropriate relationship began in Hull and has continued since Will moved to the cobbles with his family.
In tonight’s episode, manipulative Megan continues her separate relationship with Daniel Osbourne, slyly using the local schoolteacher as a cover.
Megan helps Daniel to prepare for his young son Bertie’s seventh birthday, which will be celebrated with a small party at Ken Barlow’s house this week.

As they spend time together, Daniel vents to Megan about how Will is causing trouble at school – which has forced him to give the troubled teen detention.
Changing the subject, Daniel invites Megan to join him for Bertie’s party at No.1. From his perspective, their relationship is going from strength to strength – but he’s oblivious to the way that Megan is using him.
Later, when Megan prepares for a cosy evening in with Daniel by heading to the shop for a bottle of wine, she takes a call from an unknown number which leaves her shaken.
“I thought I told you not to call me again,” Megan tells the mystery person. “Of course I meant it. Please, will you just let it go?”

When the caller continues to protest, Megan replies: “No, that wouldn’t be a good idea for either of us – you just leave me alone, okay?”
Is Megan being targeted by someone who knows her secret – or could this even be another victim of her abuse?
Coronation Street’s producer Kate Brooks recently named Megan and Will’s story as one to watch in 2026, as the dark plot starts to bring in other characters including Sam Blakeman.

“Sam is obviously semi-related to the pub family, and he potentially gets wind that something’s amiss,” Brooks explained.
“We will see the lengths that Megan will go to in order to manipulate Sam and to keep him quiet, and it will be massively detrimental to Sam’s wellbeing.”
Coronation Street has worked on Will and Megan’s grooming storyline with support from Barnardo’s. Support and information is available via the charity’s website.
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
