Aaron Scott Jr. will be back in Ohio Stadium next season, but he won’t be wearing scarlet and gray.
The former Ohio State cornerback will play for one of the Buckeyes’ top Big Ten rivals as he announced his transfer commitment to Oregon on Saturday.

Scott brings two years of eligibility to Oregon, which is set to play a road game at Ohio State during the 2026 regular season (date TBA).
A five-star recruit out of high school, Scott spent two years with the Buckeyes as a backup cornerback and special teams contributor, recording 11 tackles with two pass breakups and one tackle for loss. He’ll now look to earn a bigger role at Oregon, though he’ll face plenty of competition to do so, as he joins a secondary that returns 2025 Freshman All-American Brandon Finney Jr. and fellow starting cornerback Ify Obidegwu, as well as former Ohio State commit Na’eem Offord.
Scott, a native of Springfield, Ohio, becomes the third defensive back from Ohio on Oregon’s roster, joining Trey McNutt and Dorian Brew, who both signed with the Ducks in the 2025 recruiting class despite being heavily recruited by Ohio State. Neither Brew (who finished his high school career in Texas) nor McNutt saw playing time on defense in their freshman year with the Ducks, but both will also be among the defensive backs competing for playing time in Oregon’s 2026 secondary.
Scott committed to Oregon after also making visits to Tennessee and Wisconsin.
