Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer were two of Chelsea’s best performers in their 2-0 victory against Brentford on Saturday.
Pedro opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 26th minute with a nice finish before Palmer added to the scoreline in the second half from the penalty spot.
Palmer also terrorised Yehor Yarmolyuk during one phase of play with an excellent bit of skill, which resulted in the Stamford Bridge faithful giving the attacking midfielder a standing ovation.

Robert Sanchez also deserves a mention after making some brilliant saves against Keith Andrews’ side.

Fernandez has often played in an advanced position at Chelsea this season, but he started in more of a deeper role on Saturday.
There, the Argentine does tend to let other midfielders get past him and does not have the pace to recover. However, that is without the ball. In possession, Fernandez is excellent, and that could be seen against Brentford.
As per Sofascore, the 25-year-old made three key passes and completed 43 out of the 49 passes he attempted, giving him an 88% pass success rate.

It was definitely one of Fernandez’s better performances in central midfield.
