MOSES LAKE — Residents across the Moses Lake area may hear or feel loud booms Wednesday as Stoke Space conducts controlled rocket detonations near Grant County International Airport.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the space vehicle manufacturer will carry out the detonations on Wednesday, Jan. 21, between noon and 8 p.m. Stoke Space’s facility is located northwest of the airport.

The detonations may be audible and felt throughout Moses Lake, with the strongest impacts expected in the Larson Community, McConihe, Cascade Valley, and parts of Mae Valley and Westshore Drive on the west side of Moses Lake.

Sheriff’s officials said no additional details were provided about the tests. Community members with questions are advised to contact Stoke Space directly.
