GLENDORA – Traffic is being greatly impacted after a fiery collision occurred on the eastbound 210 Foothill Freeway just east of Sunflower Avenue, Tuesday.

Two people have been transported for treatment to area hospitals. One person received what was described as critical injuries, and the second person received minor injuries, according to California Highway Patrol.

A Sig Alert has been issued for the HOV and the No. 1 and 2 lanes for 45 minutes.

The crash occurred at 5:39 p.m. Initially, CHP reported a three-vehicle collision between a silver four-door sedan, a black pick up truck and a red van towing a trailer. The van hauling the trailer was apparently on fire.

Initially, it was reported an elderly couple were injured and good. Samaritans were pulling a couple away from the fully engulfed vehicle.
