One Bruins defenseman won’t be in attendance when Boston takes on his former Dallas Stars team on Tuesday.
Vladislav Kolyachonok was placed on waivers for purpose of assignment the AHL.
Kolyachonok was claimed off waivers by Boston from the Stars on Dec. 16. In 11 games for the Stars, the defenseman logged 12:37 of ice time and amassed a goal and an assist.
The 24-year-old appeared in two games for the Bruins, the last being Dec. 27 in their 4-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
When Kolyachonok was claimed, the Bruins were thin on defense due to a slew of injuries. Now Hampus Lindholm is back and Jordan Harris getting closer, plus the team has enjoyed the emergence of Jonathan Aspirot.
The Bruins also have Billy Sweezey on the road trip, who was called up from the AHL on an emergency basis Sunday.
Defenseman Andrew Peeke, who missed Saturday’s win over the Chicago Blackhawks with a lower-body injury, practiced Tuesday and is a game-time decision.
