WASHINGTON DC (WFSB) – No. 1 UConn heads to the nation’s capital for a date with Georgetown on Thursday night.
The women’s basketball teams tip off at 7:30 p.m. in the CareFirst Arena.
The game will air on TNT and truTV.
The Huskies remain perfect at 19-0 overall and 9-0 in the Big East Conference.
The Hoyas, meanwhile, sit at 11-7 overall and 4-5 in the conference. Their last game was a win over Marquette on Saturday.
Khia Miller is the team’s leader. She averages 11.4 points per game.
UConn is 57-6 all time against Georgetown.
In the Huskies last game on Monday night, they soundly defeated Notre Dame.
Sarah Strong put up 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the 85-47 win.
KK Arnold added 12 points of her own and tallied 5 assists.
UConnHuskies.com reported that the margin of victory against the Fighting Irish was the largest between the two teams in series history.
Following the Georgetown matchup, the Huskies next game is Sunday at noon at Seton Hall. The game will stream on Peacock and air on the NBC Sports Network.
