Lane Kiffin is hoping to end the feud between fans of his current school and fans of his former team.

The new LSU head coach took to social media on Tuesday to encourage Tigers fans and Ole Miss fans to “move on” from one another.

Try as he may, Kiffin’s calls for unity might be fruitless.

Tensions are clearly high between Ole Miss and LSU fans considering Kiffin left Oxford for Baton Rouge just last month. What made his exit even more dramatic is the fact that it came right before the Rebels’ playoff run.

Even without Kiffin on its sideline, Ole Miss managed to reach the College Football Playoff semifinal, so things might not be too bad under new head coach Pete Golding.

Fans can continue to argue for the remainder of the offseason, but the true winner of the Kiffin saga will be determined early on in the 2026 season. Ole Miss and LSU will face off in Week 3 of next season in what should be one of the most interesting contests of the year.
