After being deported from the United States on four separate occasions, an illegal alien from Guatemala with two felony convictions has now been sentenced to five years in prison for illegal reentry.

According to U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona, Lucas Lucas-De Lucas, 36, was first removed from the United States in May 2012. He was then removed again in December 2019, February 2021 and April 2023.

The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative Escalona says “marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.”

Homeland Security Investigations and the Albertville Police Department investigated the case.
