‘Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere’

Jeremy Allen White goes from “The Bear” to The Boss as he takes on the decorated musician’s life in the new biopic “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere,” streaming on Disney+ and Hulu Friday. While the film only received two stars from Globe critic Odie Henderson, he praised White’s performance, writing, “while he doesn’t try to imitate that iconic rasp, he sounds good and sweats up a storm even better.” Available on Disney+ and Hulu

‘The Smashing Machine’

Another biopic streaming this weekend is A24’s “The Smashing Machine,” hitting HBO Max on Friday. Directed and written by Benny Safdie, the drama stars wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as mixed martial artist Mark Kerr, covering his time in the sport and struggles with addiction. The film also stars Emily Blunt. Available on HBO Max

‘Kingdom’

Kicking back with a documentary narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough is always a good time, and this weekend, he lends his voice to the new six-part series “Kingdom,” debuting Saturday at 8 p.m. on AMC+ and BBC America. The latest nature docuseries follows lions, leopards, and other critters in Zambia, with new episodes airing weekly on Saturdays. Premiering Saturday on AMC+ and BBC America

Binge-worthy weekend TV pick

‘Rizzoli & Isles’

All seven seasons of the Boston-set police procedural series “Rizzoli & Isles” hit Netflix this week (it’s also streaming on Pluto TV). Based on the novels by Tess Gerritsen, the show follows detective Jane Rizzoli (played by Angie Harmon, who was also pretty great on “Law & Order”) and medical examiner Dr. Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) as they butt heads while solving cases together. Available on Netflix and Pluto TV

‘Secret Mall Apartment’

Get the inside story on how a group of artists pulled off maintaining clandestine living quarters within the Providence Place Mall during the early 2000s in the documentary “Secret Mall Apartment,” streaming Friday on Netflix. Directed by Jeremy Workman, the film also has “The Social Network” star Jesse Eisenberg attached as an executive producer. Available on Netflix
