Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.
During the Lakers’ 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

Chris Duhon, a 6-foot-1 point guard, had a solid stint at Duke University, where he was named the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2001 and was a First-team All-ACC selectee in 2004. He started his NBA career with the Chicago Bulls after they took him in the second round of the 2004 draft.
After eight seasons as mostly a backup-level player, the Lakers acquired him as part of the huge trade that brought them Dwight Howard in 2012. In his lone season with them, he appeared in 46 games and averaged 2.9 points and 2.9 assists in 17.8 minutes a game. His playing career ended after that 2012-13 campaign, and he ended up with lifetime averages of 6.5 points and 4.4 assists in 25.6 minutes per game.
