CLEVELAND, Ohio – Indie rock legends Death Cab For Cutie will bring their summer tour to Jacobs Pavilion on Wednesday, July 15, with opener Jay Som. Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 30, at axs.com.

Fronted by singer-primary songwriter-guitarist Ben Gibbard, Death Cab for Cutie’s most recent album, “Asphalt Meadows,” was released in 2022. The subsequent tour brought the band to the Agora in 2023, the last time they performed in Cleveland.

In 2024, Gibbard told NME that he and the band had quietly begun writing material for their 11th studio album, but balked at giving any possible release dates for said album.

Coincidentally, the band also announced that they had recently signed with Anti-, a subsidiary of celebrated indie label Epitaph Records. With a summer tour and a new record label, fans should be cautiously optimistic about getting some new music from the band in the near(ish) future.
