Can the Brooklyn Beckham issue get even more dramatic? Apparently, yes, to recap, Brooklyn Beckham, the oldest son of soccer superstar David Beckham and former Spice Girls Victoria, went on Instagram stories and spoke about his relationship with his parents.
He also accused them of wanting to ruin his relationship with his wife Nicola, and of being more interested in their image than anything else. And reportedly, it might all go back to money.

At the time the two married, there were reports that Brooklyn and Nicola had signed a prenup. But it probably doesn’t look like you think it does. According to the Daily Mail, the two signed the “mother and father of all prenups” due to the fact that Nicola’s father has a lot more money than the Beckhams.
Yes, that’s right, Peltz’s father is reportedly worth an estimated $1.7 billion.
But what is Brooklyn’s individual net worth? Reportedly $10 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. A lot of his worth comes from his business ventures, like his hot sauce business Hot23 and brand deals with brands like Barilla Pasta. That’s still a far cry from Nicola’s net worth of $50 million from the same source, which comes from her modeling and acting jobs.
David and Victoria Beckham‘s combined net worth is reportedly $450 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Still, a prenup is meant not just to protect a couple now, but in the future too. And considering how much more money Peltz’s family has, it’s easy to see why they signed it.
Brooklyn Beckham recently said his parents have been “trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship” with wife Nicola Peltz, adding that they“value public promotion and endorsements above all else” and “brand Beckham comes first.” He also said, “Family ‘love’ is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.”
The eldest Beckham child also said, “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family [with] performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships. … Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade.”
Brooklyn doesn’t seem to want to fix things with his parents. “I do not want to reconcile with my family,” Brooklyn Beckham said, adding, “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.”
Now, he’s reportedly done talking for good. He and his wife, Nicola Peltz, are standing together and reportedly staying far away from the Beckhams.
