UPDATE, 6:44 a.m.: The HOV and No. 1 lanes are now open. This collision is now a fatal. The county medical examiner is en route.

​COVINA – A reported injury crash has led authorities to shut down all eastbound lanes of the I-10 Freeway near Forest Lawn cemetery Sunday morning.

The crash occurred on the eastbound I-10 Freeway just west of Via Verde Avenue. The California Highway Patrol was dispatched around 4:50 a.m. January 25.

The Sig Alert for all eastbound lanes may last until 6:30 a.m.

It is not immediately clear how many people have been injured in the crash.

A dark-colored sedan reportedly struck an unspecified portion of guardrail on the right shoulder. At least one of the vehicle’s occupants was waving down passing motorists, trying to get some help before CHP arrived, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs.
