West Virginia’s leading rusher from 2025 had found his new home. Diore Hubbard sighed with Wyoming on Sunday.
Hubbard added to the news by saying, “less work, no work needs to be said” over Wyoming’s announcement.
Hubbard revealed his intentions to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 8.
A Neal Brown recruit who signed in December of 2024, Hubbard was cast into an increased role due to injuries to multiple running backs, most notably White, early in the 2025 season.
Hubbard earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors for his strong play in a win over Colorado.

Hubbard ran for 64 yards on 16 attempts for an average of exactly four yards per rush, but did most of his damage as a receiver. He caught six passes for 94 yards, including being on the receiving end of a 69-yard bomb that set up a Mountaineer touchdown.
Hubbard ran for 108 yards on 29 touches with a score the week prior in a road upset win over then No. 22 Houston.
Overall, Hubbard ran for 335 yards on 96 carries for an average of 3.5 yards per touch and scored four touchdowns.
