It still remains to be seen what the Portland Fire’s 2026 jerseys will look like, but the team did disclose one aspect of the uniforms on Tuesday morning.
The Fire announced that Chime — a San Francisco-based mobile banking company — will be the team’s official “banking and credit partner.”
And part of that partnership will be that the Chime logo will be featured on the left shoulder of all three jerseys the Fire will wear in 2026.
“Chime understands that with the return of the Portland Fire comes a responsibility to honor our history while intentionally building for the future,” said Clare Hamill, Portland Fire interim president, in a news release. “This partnership is about being part of the foundation as we shape a modern franchise rooted in values, community, and long-term impact.”
Chime will also be involved with game day experiences at the Moda Center, including a new “Chime Lane” VIP entrance, and the “Chime Club” pregame destination with exclusive merchandise and food offerings.
The Portland Fire are scheduled to start the 2026 WNBA season on May 9 in a home game against the Chicago Sky.
Chime also has a similar deal with the Dallas Mavericks, and the company’s logo has been on their jerseys for several years.
