Fulham have reached an agreement with Manchester City over a deal to sign winger Oscar Bobb.
The deal will be worth £27million ($37.1m) and include a 20 per cent sell on clause for City, in addition to the club holding the right to match any bid made for the winger in the future.
The 22-year-old is expected to undergo his Fulham medical on Thursday before completing his move to Craven Cottage.
Bobb is currently out with what Pep Guardiola said was a hamstring injury that he picked up in City’s 2-0 Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Brentford on December 17.
The 22-year-old has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring once in the Premier League, after being ruled out for the majority of last season with a broken leg that he sustained in training.
Following the signing of fellow winger Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth earlier this month, in addition to the return of Omar Marmoush from the Africa Cup of Nations, Bobb had fallen further down City’s attacking pecking order. Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku, and Savinho have also been deployed in wide positions for Pep Guardiola this season, underlining the competition for places within the City squad.
Should the move to Fulham be completed, Bobb, who can play on either wing, will compete with Harry Wilson, Kevin, and Samuel Chukwueze for minutes in west London. Fulham confirmed Adama Traore’s departure on Wednesday, with the 30-year-old winger joining West Ham United.
Bobb initially broke into the senior side during the 2023-24 campaign, making 26 appearances in all competitions. He went on to win man of the match in the 2024 Community Shield against Manchester United before sustaining the injury that August, before the start of the Premier League season.
Further issues to his ankle and hamstring hindered his fitness and limited him to only 14 minutes of playing time in the league over the 2024-25 campaign.Â
Since his return, the winger has made eight appearances for Norway, helping them to qualify for their first World Cup in 27 years.
Bobb joined City’s academy in 2019 from Norwegian youth side Valerenga, after training but failing to register with Porto as a 15-year-old.
