MADISON, Wis. — Four artists were selected for public art designs for the Imagination Center at Reinhadl Park.
The finalists were selected after extensive review by its Public Art Subcommittee, with significant input from Madison Parks and public library.
Currently, the City of Madison, the Madison Arts Commission, and the Bubbler at Madison Public Library are seeking community feedback on design proposals for public art at the Imagination Center at Reindahl Park.
In October 2025, the finalists attended a site visit, staff meeting, and community meeting where they learned about the site and community.
Residents are asked to complete the survey by 2 p.m. on Thursday Feb, 12.
Their feedback will be shared with the Madison Arts Commission (MAC). MAC is expected to make a recommendation on a winning design at their virtual public meeting on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Members of the public are welcome to register to share comments. Registration for comments will open on February 13, 2026.
Their recommendation will be reviewed and voted on by the Madison Common Council, and then the selected artist or artist team will be announced in the spring. Additional details about the artist, their proposal, and the planned design will be shared publicly at that time.
The Madison Arts Commission will work with the selected artist or artist team to complete any required design updates and will coordinate with Madison Parks and Madison Public Library for installation in early September. The public will be able to see the installed piece when the Imagination Center at Reindahl Park opens in September 2026.
