It’s official – the winners of the International Snow Sculpture Championships held in Breckenridge have been announced, and this weekend is the perfect time to check out the final results from the event.

In its 35th year, the competition that took place over recent days included 12 teams, 10 being international and representing their respective countries of Ukraine, South Korea, Italy, Lithuania, Argentina, Germany, India, Finland, Malta, and Mongolia. Meanwhile, American teams included one from Vermont and another from Breckenridge.

With each team given a 12-foot, 25-ton block of snow to carve over 94 continuous hours, sculpting took place between January 24 and January 28 – no power tools were allowed. The end results of the 2026 competition were truly stunning, now set to be illuminated for the public to see each night through February 3 in Breckenridge’s Riverwalk Center Plaza. Viewing sessions start at 9 a.m. and last until 10 p.m.

Awards for ‘best in show’ were already handed out on January 28, including a gold medal, a silver medal, a bronze medal, along with a People’s Choice and an Artist’s Choice award.
