Nebraska Public Media will acquire Classic Alternative “101.9 The Keg” KOOO La Vista/Omaha NE from NRG Media.
NPM says that “the acquisition will bring Nebraska Public Media’s programming to Omaha on a dedicated radio signal, fulfilling the mission outlined in the Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Act to operate statewide educational and public media networks.”
NRG is also selling the remainder of its Omaha cluster to Usher Media.

Upon closing, Nebraska Public Media will program Public News/Talk programming during the daytime including comprehensive coverage of national and international news, alongside Omaha news, weather and information, and statewide news updates, including daily coverage of the Nebraska Legislature when in session and AAA music in evenings and overnights.
