MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and Public Health Madison Dane County on Monday confirmed a case of measles in a UW-Madison student.
The DHS said the person was exposed to measles during international travel and is not connected to the case reported last week in Waukesha County. Identifying information on the person cannot be released due to privacy concerns, the DHS said. UW-Madison confirmed the person is a student.
DHS and PHMDC officials were working to identify and notify people who may have been exposed. A list of public exposure locations will be posted on the DHS’s website at the link here.
Currently-posted locations include the Brogden Psychology Building, Waismen Center, Genetics Building and Union South.
This marks the second measles case confirmed in Wisconsin this year.
