Porsha Williams shut down rumors that she is engaged to girlfriend Patrice “Sway” McKinney.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star re-shared a fiery Instagram Story originally posted by her partner, in which she denied being engaged to Williams and slammed gossip blogs for perpetuating the rumors.
Addressing an AI image that portrayed their engagement, McKinney said, “Like really, does that pic look like me? [Shaking my head] it’s clearly AI Lawd! Don’t believe everything you see people 🙄.

The photo surfaced over the weekend in which Williams appeared to hold up an enormous diamond sparkler while holding hands with McKinney.
Several fans on social media believed the digitally altered photo was real, which then led the couple to clear things up.

Over the weekend, a digitally altered photo showed Williams holding up an enormous diamond ring.

Williams confirmed she was dating McKinney in November 2025 when sharing a carousel to celebrate the entrepreneur’s birthday.
“Happiest Birthday @sway_thepro Hope this year continues to bring you everything you want and more! 🥂🍾 Can’t wait to act up saturday!” Williams penned.
Just a month before, she had teased that their relationship during an appearance at New York City’s CultureCon.

Shortly after, internet sleuths identified the woman as McKinney.
Although McKinney is Williams’ first public relationship with a woman, the reality TV hinted she would “get with a woman” after her divorce from Simon Goubadia.
Williams tied the knot with Guobadia in 2022. After 14 months of marriage, she filed for divorce and it was finalized in June 2025.
