LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln Fire and Rescue believes a carelessly discarded cigarette caused a fire at the Theta Xi house early Wednesday morning.
The fire at 16th and R streets was reported just after midnight and caused about $50,000 in damage to the back of the house, LFR said.
According to LFR, the fire started outside the building and did not spread into the residence. There have been no reported injuries or need for relocations.
