The Philadelphia 76ers pulled their first move of the deadline on Wednesday when they decided to send Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a first-round pick and three second-rounders. The Sixers needed to free up a roster spot to convert Dominick Barlow from a two-way deal to a standard one, and this move now sets that up whenever Philadelphia decides to do so.
With that being said, McCain’s impact on the Sixers was well-known. He was a great locker room guy and was well-liked by his teammates. He had taken the league by storm as a rookie before he tore the meniscus in his left knee and had worked hard to get to this point. He will now look to keep things moving forward with the Thunder.

VJ Edgecombe, Justin Edwards, and Tyrese Maxey all took to Twitter to say their goodbyes to McCain after the trade.
As for the rest of the Sixers, their focus now turns to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday for the third of a 5-game road trip.
